Almost every day someone in Utah dies from an opioid overdose, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You can learn how to prevent an overdose. In 2015, Utah County lost 179 residents to opioid overdose, which is enough people to fill four school buses. Opioid overdoses are sweeping our nation, state, and county. We can prevent overdose deaths by learning prevention tips, properly disposing of our medications, and being prepared to administer Naloxone.
